Danger Ehren and Dave England were back in the spotlight of the masses this weekend as they participated in a hostile takeover of MTV for 24 hours along with the rest of the Jackass crew. If you don’t know, before moving on to international celebrity for acting how they normally act but in front of cameras, Ehren used to work for us at Cal’s Pharmacy and Dave was an extended family member and Dept. tenant. They continue to be a part of the phenomenon that is Jackass and they have a new website you can check out to gratify your desire to see people acting stupid. But in a kinda smart way.

In a wierd case of going around in circles, Skatedaily.net, which so graciously provides us with skate industry news updates and can be visited by clicking the window just below this one, has decided to use this photo of Chris Hart for it’s weekly image. Good lookin’ out. Sick CHart… and Garric.
The Dept. had another Lock-In over the Holiday break and Hayes just finished putting a little footage together from the night. Some sick footage of Dept locals Conner, Dylan (check him out in Paranoid Park), Miles and Danny to name a few as well as a cameo by Santa.
Here’s another clip from Tom Bender who pieced together his own footy of the same night. Once you get past that first guy, some SERIOUS ripping goes down. Lil’ Chris starts killing the big 3 and then Ben starts tossing his carcass around. That is some impressive footage to gather over just one night guys.
Oh, this must be why.
Right about now this dude is probably pushing around San Diego with a couple of really tall, hungry twins looking for Skate Mafias’ spots. Let’s hope his sister hooked him up with some tighter braids before he left. (If this photo gives you the creeps, you’re definitely not the only one.)

Last Friday’s winner was none other than Matt DeGroot. Matt is probably super stoked on his 7 5/8″ Appleyard deck that he came up on. It’s only about an inch and quarter narrower than what he’d choose to ride. Unfortunately, Flip doesn’t actually make the supersized model that Bob uses to Mega-it-up but if they ever do Matt, we’ll give you a call. Congrats Matt, you’re a definite lifer.

Anyone notice anything different about this week’s winner’s photo? A little blurry? A little out of focus? Lighting could be better? Robert “Bobby” Solorio was last weeks big winner. We actually have no evidence whatsoever that Robert goes by “Bobby” but we think he might want to consider it. It almost sounds like a showbiz name. “Bobby Solorio”. Yeah, that sounds pretty good. Congrats Bobby. Er, Robert.
David Gonzales from Colombia was the winner of the demo Friday night. Good for him. He gets a Flip deck now. Hopefully you made it out to the demo Friday because preliminary reports have it ranked as one of the all-time greats. We’ll have more photos and some footage up soon to check out in case you missed it.
Andy sent over this little gem that they have up on the Tribute website. This should be what they had in mind when they designed that obstacle.
Danny Uyematsu held the winning #s this week and came up on a Mark Appleyard deck at Flip Friday Night. Next Friday, Nov. 16th will be the ultimate Flip Friday Night as The Dept. will be hosting the Feast Tour and will have the entire Flip team on hand live and in person. It’s still not 100% sure, but Danny may be called in as a backup skater in case Appleyard isn’t skating good that night. Make sure you’re ready Danny. Congratulations Danny!!
