So Art stopped by today to pick some grip up. Upon receiving his change, he got an unexpected surprise. Autographed Paul Rodriguez dollar! This was no marketing promotion or gimmick. Evidently, this type of random miracle happens on it’s own. He had to have made money on this little deal. EBay prices for P Rod autographs have got to start at least 10X that! Art is sooo stoked!! Just look at him!! Couldn’t have happened to a better guy.

We tried to give a little warning that Matt can turn it on when he wants to. What happened? His first trip to Tampa Pro in 6 years, 4th place, $5K, and more cheers from the ladies than Sheckler. Nice job buddy. What do you have planned for the ‘Rocco with that loot?

Matt walked off with 2 of these trophys. He got this one because everyone was so stoked to see him show up. If you have’nt heard by now, Matt is returning to the Pro skateboarder ranks and his board on Skate Mental should be out next month.

P.S. Rattray got robbed. Lutzka literally walked away with $5000 extra dollars that rightfully belonged to Rattray.

Alright, who’s playing dodge ball?

Tyler left on Sunday for 2 weeks in Barcelona with his little clique. They didn’t mention him on their site and said there are a few other guys they can’t name yet so we won’t spill the beans either. In case you can’t put it together though, Tyler wears different shoes now.

Beach is breaking out to Tampa on Thursday for Tampa Pro. He may or may not be riding a board with his name on it. It may or may not be 8″ wide and may or may not have a porpoise included somewhere on the graphic. Matt, go for the win. Everyone else entering should probably take note because Beach has some experience doing well in contests.

Danger Ehren and Dave England were back in the spotlight of the masses this weekend as they participated in a hostile takeover of MTV for 24 hours along with the rest of the Jackass crew. If you don’t know, before moving on to international celebrity for acting how they normally act but in front of cameras, Ehren used to work for us at Cal’s Pharmacy and Dave was an extended family member and Dept. tenant. They continue to be a part of the phenomenon that is Jackass and they have a new website you can check out to gratify your desire to see people acting stupid. But in a kinda smart way.

In a wierd case of going around in circles, Skatedaily.net, which so graciously provides us with skate industry news updates and can be visited by clicking the window just below this one, has decided to use this photo of Chris Hart for it’s weekly image. Good lookin’ out. Sick CHart… and Garric.

The Dept. had another Lock-In over the Holiday break and Hayes just finished putting a little footage together from the night. Some sick footage of Dept locals Conner, Dylan (check him out in Paranoid Park), Miles and Danny to name a few as well as a cameo by Santa.

Here’s another clip from Tom Bender who pieced together his own footy of the same night. Once you get past that first guy, some SERIOUS ripping goes down. Lil’ Chris starts killing the big 3 and then Ben starts tossing his carcass around. That is some impressive footage to gather over just one night guys.
