Done deal. Earned the right way.
Shane has been killing it as of late..2 months ago he released the most talked about video part this year over at The Berrics and has been putting the hurt on every contest he’s made it to. He’s a young guy with ridiculous skateboard ability who’s just scratched the surface of getting radical. There are a few slots left in Week 5 if you want to check out Nugget in person. You can sign up here if you’re interested.
Just a quick thanks to Theotis for stopping by Skatecamp last week. Everyone loved having him. The reputation is growing. This is a short IPhone clip of a backside flip that went down approximately 5 mins after entering the building. The Dept. is officially on the Theotis Beasley bandwagon from here on out.
Just got word today that Week 3 of Skatecamp will be blessed with a visit by one of the best young kids out Theotis Beasley next week. Everyone knows Theotis as the nicest, most positive kid around but don’t fool yourself..he kills on the skateboard. See. This will be his first time visiting The Dept. camps but he’s already got skoaching on lock. If you want to come say what’s up to Theo, you can sign up for Skatecamp Week 3 right here.

Bledsoe and the Etnies team will be dominating the dojo @ Ed Benedict Wednesday at 4PM!! School should be winding down for everyone this week so make sure to cruise to Ed Benedict immediately following the last bell Wednesday..Tyler, Mikey Taylor, Ryan Sheckler, Devine Calloway, and Davis Torgerson will be kickin’ it live and in person. You do not want to miss this first demo of the summer in Portland. (NOTE: THIS DEMO IS NOT AT THE DEPT.!! IT IS AT ED BENEDICT- 104TH & SE POWELL)

Tyler must’ve used the McLovin ID to get in. More Maloof party photos courtesy of Skatepark of Tampa.
Farmer wins.
Mikey Calcagno, Compton, Cody Maag, Trevor Ward, and obviously Steven Farmer with some pretty sick clips.
Here’s another vid of the Zumiez contest with more shredding..
We got word this morning that despite the rain the Zero team is still going to head out to Battleground at 4PM and kick it with whoever is brave enough to battle the rain. You’re dealing with real pros here, not marketing characters..Chris Cole, Jamie Thomas, Garrett Hill, Tommy Sandoval, Keegan Sauder, Ben Hatchell..4:00 sharp at Battleground.
..but not to The Dept. The Zero team is going on a little tour that comes up through the NW and will be around various places in the area between May 25th and 30th. The lineup is gnarly- 2 Time SOTY Chris Cole, Jamie Thomas, Tommy Sandoval, Garrett Hill, Keegan Sauder, Tony Cervantes and Ben Hatchell. They will be doing a demo at BATTLEGROUND SKATEPARK in Battleground, WA on May 26th @ 4PM. If you want to check out some up close and personal skating than this is probably your best bet. If you want to try and meet the dudes you may want to cruise down to Exit Real World in Salem on May 25th where they’re having a shop signing. It’s not often these guys make it up this way so you should definitely make plans to head to Battleground May 26th. (REMEMBER- THERE IS NOT A DEMO @ THE DEPT. THE SHREDDING WILL BE AT BATTLEGROUND.)
getting worked. No broken arm footy though. Stay up Nick.
Check it out here..
Ridiculous.

The Skateboard Mag and Skatepark of Tampa had their official Am awards night and Tyler got to swoop up his trophy for being the Year’s Best Am. Pretty sure it’s a bearing press. If any kids need to change their bearings out make sure to ask Tyler if you can use his press next time you see him.
He’d probably prefer the hug to the bearing press anyday. From the girls, not from Dave Swift.
Congrats again Tyler. Letting the world know what Portland’s known for quite some time.
